The first wave in 2020 did not prepare Nigerians for the current one. Yes, Western media claimed Africa would have bodies on the streets. But it didn’t happen in Nigeria. People were not dying at a high rate… Not until the second wave.
Many speculate that the Nigerian government didn’t adequately prepare for the second wave. Nonetheless, perhaps now it’s time to look back at 2020 and learn.
